Classes

Online Learning with LEGO® Building!

Students join live, hour-long interactive classes centering around a historical or scientific concept. Students construct a LEGO® build inspired by the focus topic and explain the features of their builds, interacting with the teacher in real time.

FAQ: If my child has a friend over, can they join in?

Absolutely! LEGO is meant to be shared! Other siblings are welcomed, too.

FAQ: Is there a recommended age range for this class? Any age is welcome! Playing with LEGO® bricks is a family event. Excited younger siblings may want to participate -- and that's great!**  See FAQ for more questions.

FAQ: What happens if I miss a class? After each class a recap email is sent to parents with a class photo of builds, a review of classroom lesson, links to going deeper with the material at home, a preview of the next week, and a pre-recorded video of the week's lesson. See FAQ for more questions.

Class Instructions:

1. Download the free Zoom app to your tablet or computer (with a camera). Make sure it is updated

2. A reminder email will be auto-sent every morning at 9am EST on the morning of class. Check your spam folder if you do not see it.

3. Have a stash of LEGO® pieces and a baseplate ready. Grab whatever you want - minifigs, sharks, technic, wheels, blocks. Need to order more basic parts? Look for Classic LEGO® sets.

4. Expect the class to last approximately an hour, give or take a few minutes as each student is intentionally given time to show and explain their build.
